Windows 8 Release Preview

Microsoft baru saja mengumumkan bahwa mereka akan meluncurkan versi lain dari Windows 8 untuk umum, yaitu Windows 8 Release Preview. Mereka mengatakan bahwa akan meluncurkan Windows 8 Release Preview yang merupakan kelanjutan dari versi BETA Windows 8 Consumer Preview pada minggu awal di bulan Juni 2012 ini. Windows 8 Release Preview mungkin merupakan langkah Microsoft sebelum meluncurkan Windows 8 RTM yang kemungkinan akan diluncurkan pada tahun ini

Berikut adalah beberapa bocoran tentang perubahan yang akan terjadi antara Windows 8 Consumer Preview dan Windows 8 Release Preview



1. OOBE improved.

2. Added more colour set.

3. Customer Experiecne Improvement Program is disabled by default.

4. UI changes: Charm bar, Language input menu, Internet Explorer, Ribbon, Messenger

5. Performance improvements.

6. Ribbon improved.

7. Many bugs fixed including Taskbar disappearing bug.

8. Windows Media Center improved.

9. Windows to Go is back as "Add Features to Windows 8".

10. Windows Anytime Upgrade is back. (might not be available on Final Public WRP build)

11. Windows Live Family Safety is built in.

12. New icon for Setup.exe

13. Aero improved.

14. Added new Aero cursors.

15. Added new Start Screen backgrounds.

16. New Start Button when moving the the pointer to bottom left corner.

17. Speed and Stability improved.

18. Almost all the Aero bugs are fixed.

19. Not possilble to join a Domain or Workgroup on Windows 8 Core.

20. Remote Desktop is not available on Windows 8 Core.

21. New Parental Control Feature: Family Safety.

22. Improved Mulit-Display support.

23. The old Task Manager is completely removed

24. Tile colours changed: Store-Green, Messaging-Purple

Seperti yang diberitakan juga, Windows 8 kali ini tidak akan mengeluarkan edisi seperti Windows 7, yang diluncurkan dengan edisi Windows 7 Starter hingga Windows 7 Ultimate. Menurut blog dari Microsoft, Windows 8 hanya akan mengeluarkan 3 edisi, yaitu Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro, dan Windows 8 RT dengan sistim x86 (32-bit) dan x64 (64-bit). Windows 8 di kedepannya akan mendukung platform Tablet dan juga PC. Namun tanggal resmi peluncuran dari Windows 8 tersebut masih menjadi sebuah misteri yang belum diberitakan hingga sekarang
